The indicator rod mounts on the swather frame with a metal scale attached. The gauge cable is attached to a metal bracket clamped to the hitch assembly. Once installed, you simply calibrate your scale to your swather. The indicator is sensitive to the movements of the swather. It gives reading from 4 to 20 inches in 4 inch increments, This provides accuracy and flexibility for cutting height control. The black numbers scale is also visible day or night.
